🎬 It’s finally being unleashed unto the world! 🎬
Last year, I music directed a 9-piece ensemble for 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙚 — a reimagining of songs from @checkpointtheatre’s past productions. It’s finally time for our live premiere at The Projector 🙈🙈🙈
Composing and arranging for a big band was a major milestone for lil ol me, and a real challenge (you may remember me crying out for help learning various music scoring softwares in my stories through 2020 😅).
Twas so intimidating but hella rewarding to work with some of the scene’s best musicians — Teo Jia Rong (@teojiarong) on drums 🥁, Jordan Wei (@jordanwei7777) on keys 🎹, Ben Poh (@benthepoh) on bass 🎸, Chris Yong (@chrisylmusic) on trumpet + bugle 🎺, and Joy Yong (@xalegria) on violin 🎻. These virtuosos breathed so much of their own colour and life into my arrangements I am not worthy 😭
I also had the honour of writing for and singing with this spectacular choir 🎙— ants chua (@handsomeants), Jo Tan (@jodecro) and Rebekah Sangeetha Dorai (@ms.dorai) 🌹
This entire crazy undertaking was a first for me and far from perfect... but if you’d like to celebrate this milestone with me and this veh speshurl geng… please come 😳 It would mean the world～🌏
